Dolly and Dotty- Veronica Dress

Hello everyone!
It’s taken me a little while to get back on track with my reviews, in part because the weather was very unfriendly and in part because I seem to have developed a condition in my wrists which makes typing a bit difficult for long stretches of time. Since I type for my work, and classes, at the end of the day I am usually in too much discomfort to blog.
However, there are some beautiful things to cheer me up, and one of them is this stunning dress from Dolly and Dotty!

It was just love at first sight, truly! I’m not sure if it was the beautiful shade of blue or the embroidery which first drew me in, but what really sealed the deal for me was the peekaboo bow back!
I really appreciate interesting cuts, and this one was designed to be alluring and elegant, without preventing you from wearing a bra. The little pleat on the skirt below the last bow is just the cherry on top!

Another truly pleasant surprise were the deep pockets on this dress! Any dress with pockets is an instant win for me, but finding them on such an elegant party dress is a stroke of genius! It shows that Dolly and Dotty don’t make just beautiful, but also functional clothing (as if that strategically placed back bow wasn’t a dead giveaway already)
As for the garment care itself, this dress will require a bit more careful ironing, partly due to the fabric itself, and partly due to the embroidery, but this is nothing I wouldn’t expect from a cocktail dress.

I paired it for this shoot with a beaded rope necklace from Dizzibirds. Now Dizzibirds deserve, and will get a whole blog post of their own, but I can’t miss the opportunity to say how delighted and impressed I am with their unique (and each piece is unique) designs and skill!

Until next time!
XOXO
