This is part three of my shoot and review for The Seamstressof Bloomsbury. I admit to having saved the best for last! We shot this at the Nikola Tesla museum in Zagreb, and they were kind enough to give us a free run of the place on a Monday when the museum is closed to the public. Ivy and Taja were kind enough to be set mistresses, and Villy V took the photos.  All my life I was a bit wary of jumpsuits. They seemed like something belonging to the 70’s, or in newer days, something for club bunnies. However, all that changed the momentRead More →

Villy V took the photos.  All of you who read my blog regularly (hi!!!!) know that certain things make me happy: shirtwaist dresses, contrast trims and pretty fabrics. This dress has all of that and then some! I already swooned over the authentic 40’s fabrics in myRead More →

Hello guys and gals! I am so excited to finally be able to show you my latest collab!  It was with The Seamstress of Bloomsbury, a shop I have been a fan of for ages now. They specialize in authentic vintage reproductions, from the cut and the patterns right down to the fabric. The three garments I chose were a blouse, a dress and a beautiful siren suit, and since I really want to take the time to do a proper review, each will get their own blog post. The photos were taken at the Nikola Tesla Technical museum here in Zagreb, and they wereRead More →

Hello everyone, it’s time for the second part of my Rock N Romance review! If you didn’t read part 1 yet, you can find it here. I saved two amazing pieces for this review, both of which I have had my eye on for a while! The first one is the amazing Swing Jacket by Seamstress of Bloomsbury, a total love at first sight! I got my first Rock n Romance shirt last summer, but I knew their shop for much longer. What first drew me to them was their taste and selection of brands. Alongside their house brand, Rock n Romance, they also stock The Seamstress of Bloomsbury, Emmy Design, Daisy Dapper, Dupenny and Elements Rainwear; all brands known for their attention to design and details, most of them leaning heavily towards the 1940’s.   I was online window-shopping on my vacation this summer, and immediately fell in love with their black Grace blouse with contrast piping and buttons. The moment it arrived, I became their undying fan!Read More →

I live in a very strange neighborhood in a very strange city. The old mingles with the new, and a good portion of the block is simply overgrown and abandoned. And in the midst of it all, is a small off-off-theater.  It’s run by a rather eccentric neighbor, but a real sweetheart none the less. His theater entrance seemed like the perfect backdrop for these unusual pieces. The first one is the Callous Crow switchblade cardigan, With their beautiful stitching and a frankly stunning pattern. This cardigan features both front and back stitching, and is made of soft, light cotton, perfect for even the warmerRead More →
